Notice of March 12, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary  Election Audit

Pursuant to  O.C.G.A. 21-2-498, the Worth County Board of Elections and staff will be conducting an audit of results for the March 12, 2024 Presidential Preference Primary.  This audit will take place in the Grand Jury room located at 201 N. Main St Sylvester, Ga 31791 on March 20, 2024 starting at 9am and continuing that day until completed.  This audit is open to the public.

Notice is Hereby Given that the computation and canvassing of the returns of votes cast in the November 7, 2023  General Municipal and T-SPLOST  Election will take place in the office of the:

201 N. Main Street, Room 10, Sylvester, Georgia

  • The computation and canvassing will begin on          Wednesday – November 8, 2023 
  • beginning at 9:00 AM.
  • Certification Of The General Municipal And T-SPLOST  Election Final Results Should Be Available Monday After The Election.

Logistics and Accuracy Testing

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. § 21-2-379.6 (c) notice is hereby given that the logic and accuracy testing on the voting equipment to be used in the November 7th Municipal General/Special Election will begin at 8 am on Monday, September 4th and will continue from day to day until completed. The testing will be at the Worth County Courthouse, 201 North Main Street, Elections Office Room 10 Sylvester, Georgia and at the Governmental building- 204 E Franklin St Sylvester, Ga. The test procedure is open to the public.

In the event of a Municipal General Runoff Election on December 5, 2023. The preparation and testing of voting system components to be used in the Municipal General Runoff will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Wed. November 15, 2023, or as soon as the database is received.  This will occur at the Worth County Election’s office located at 201 N. Main St. Room 10, Sylvester GA and at the 911 Government building, located 204 E Franklin St Sylvester Ga.

Notice  TO:  ALL QUALIFIED ELECTORS IN THE VOTING PLACE PRECINCT OF SCOOTERVILLE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT

The SCOOTERVILLE Volunteer Fire Department VOTING PRECINCT, located at 4413 GA HWY 256 Sumner, Georgia is no longer adequate to provide for COVID distancing, space for the disabled, and the concern for the health and wellbeing of the voters and poll workers. The Scooterville Voting Precinct WILL BE RELOCATED to New Hope Baptist Church at 4454 GA HWY 256 Sumner, Ga.

WHEREAS it being the responsibility of the Worth County Election Superintendent to generate more public interest in voting and to provide for the disabled and regular voters/electors an adequate and convenient place in which to cast their ballots as well as to provide for the COVID healthcare regulations; and

WHEREAS, the foregoing change do not have as its purpose, and will not have the effect of denying or abridging the right to vote on account of race, color, or otherwise, but to the contrary, the change has in its purpose and effect the extension, facilitation, and protection of the right to vote for all. 

THEREFORE, NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Effective June 6, 2023 at a regular meeting of the Worth County Board of Elections and Registration, the Board will vote to finalize the above-mentioned change. If passed by unanimous vote the changes will take effective immediately at which time the Worth County Registrar shall give each elector affected written notice of such change at the elector’s last known address. Such notice shall be given to the voters no later than October 6, 2023 that being more than 30 days before the November 7, 2023, General Election.

The County Line Voting Precinct WILL BE RELOCATED to Beulah Methodist Social Hall located at 900 South County Line Rd, Albany, Georgia.

WHEREAS it being the responsibility of the Worth County Election Superintendent to generate more public interest in voting and to provide for the disabled and regular voters/electors an adequate and convenient place in which to cast their ballots as well as to provide for the COVID healthcare regulations; and

WHEREAS, the foregoing change do not have as its purpose, and will not have the effect of denying or abridging the right to vote on account of race, color, or otherwise, but to the contrary, the change has in its purpose and effect the extension, facilitation, and protection of the right to vote for all.

Notice of Scanning, Computation, Canvassing, and Certification of Election Results

Early computation: pursuant to OCGA 21-2-386 (a)(e) this is to notify the  citizens of Worth County that the Worth County Board of Elections will begin the early opening and tabulation of absentee ballots cast for the June 21, 2022 General Primary Runoff Election.

Tabulation:  shall begin at 6:00 pm on June 21, 2022 at the Worth County Courthouse, located at 201 N. Main St Sylvester Georgia 31791.  The results of said tabulation shall not be run until 7 pm on May 24, 2022.

Certification:  Notice is hereby given that computation, canvassing and certification of the returns of votes cast in the June 21, 2022 General Primary Runoff Election will take place in the Worth County Elections office starting on June 22, 2022 at 9am.

All events are open to viewing by the public and will be conducted at the Election’s office, 201 N. Main St. Rm 10 Sylvester Ga.

*This will be a Democratic ballot only

*If you voted Republican in the General Primary, you will not vote in this election

*If you did not vote at all in the General Primary, you may choose to vote in this election

*The voter registration deadline for this election was April 25, 2022

Notice is hereby given to all voters of Worth County that two (2) voting precinct / registration cards regarding "Redistricting Changes" were mailed out to all the registered voters.  Please only accept the Voter Precinct / Registration Cards that were post-marked May 12th or later.
